Take exit 305 (Bozeman 19th Street) south through town and out. Total distance about 10 miles. Road will come to a "T" at Cottonwood Rd. Turn left (south) and proceed on winding
road about 2.1 miles. Look for Cottonwood Canyon Rd. off to left. Take Cottonwood Canyon Rd. 1.0 miles looking for
a large Yellowstone Alliance Adventures sign on the right; you'll
also see two large hitching-post style entryways made from logs. Turn
right and drive under the entryway with the Welcome sign. Continue
3/4 mile up to the Retreat (do not turn left into the upper Y.A.A.
entrance). At the top, the road is paved. Drive
up and park under the carport of the lodge, which is the large building
on the right. Check

If
coming from the airport, as you leave the airport on Airport Rd., turn right
onto Frontage Rd. (also known as Main St.) at the T intersection. Follow
frontage road straight through Belgrade until it intersects with Jackrabbit
Rd. Turn left, south, onto Jackrabbit Rd.
From
I-90 or Belgrade, follow Jackrabbit Rd. (which is also labeled as Hwy 85) roughly
14 miles south towards Big Sky. On the way, you'll pass straight through Four Corners
(where the road becomes 191) and Gallatin Gateway; both are very small towns.
About
1 mile after Gallatin Gateway look for Cottonwood Rd.. Buffalo Jump (an adult club) is on the NE corner of 191 and Cottonwood. Turn left onto Cottonwood Rd.
Continue
on Cottonwood until it comes to a "T". Take a right and continue until road comes to a second "T".
Turn left. Note that at both of these "T" intersections,
Cottonwood Rd. is paved, and the road you don't want is gravel. After the
second "T" intersection, continue about 1.7 miles. Then, look for Cottonwood Canyon Rd. off to right.
If you reach a hard, 90 degree left turn, you've gone about 100 yards too far.
