Traveling east on I-90

From Belgrade & points West

(including from the airport)

From Southern Idaho

Take exit 305 (Bozeman 19th Street) south through town and out. Total distance about 10 miles.

Road will come to a "T" at Cottonwood Rd. Turn left (south) and proceed on winding road about 2.1 miles.  Look for Cottonwood Canyon Rd. off to left.

Take Cottonwood Canyon Rd. 1.0 miles looking for a large  Yellowstone Alliance Adventures sign on the right; you'll also see two large hitching-post style entryways made from logs.  Turn right and drive under the entryway with the Welcome sign.

Continue 3/4 mile up to the Retreat (do not turn left into the upper Y.A.A. entrance).  At the top, the road is paved.   Drive up and park under the carport of the  lodge, which is the large building on the right.  Check in at the lodge front desk.  Thank you!

If coming from the airport, as you leave the airport on Airport Rd., turn right onto Frontage Rd. (also known as Main St.) at the T intersection.  Follow frontage road straight through Belgrade until it intersects with Jackrabbit Rd. Turn left, south, onto Jackrabbit Rd.

From I-90 or Belgrade, follow Jackrabbit Rd. (which is also labeled as Hwy 85) roughly 14 miles south towards Big Sky.  On the way, you'll pass straight  through Four Corners (where the road becomes 191) and Gallatin Gateway; both are very small towns.

About 1 mile after Gallatin Gateway look for Cottonwood Rd..  Buffalo Jump (an adult club) is on the NE corner of 191 and Cottonwood.  Turn left onto Cottonwood Rd.

Continue on Cottonwood until it comes to a "T".  Take a right and continue until road comes to a second "T".  Turn left.  Note that at both of these "T" intersections, Cottonwood Rd. is paved, and the road you don't want is gravel. After the second "T" intersection, continue about 1.7 miles. Then, look for Cottonwood Canyon Rd. off to right.  If you reach a hard, 90 degree left turn, you've gone about 100 yards too far.
