that both Old and New Testaments constitute the verbally inspired and
inerrant Word of God in the original languages and manuscripts. (II Timothy
3:16-17)
in one God existing eternally in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy
Spirit. These Persons are
co-eternal in being, identical in nature, attributes, and characteristics. (John
14:26; 1 Peter 1:2; 1 John 5:7)
that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternally-existent Son of God, became man
by virgin birth without ceasing to be God and lived a sinless life in order that
He might reveal God and redeem sinful man by His death and resurrection. (John 3:16-17;10:38; 14:6-7,11)
in the personal, visible and bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 1:11)
that the Holy Spirit came forth from the Father and the Son to convict
the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment; and to regenerate, sanctity,
comfort, seal, and fill those who believe in Jesus Christ. (John 14:26; 16:8; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18)
that man, prior to salvation and apart from Jesus Christ, is totally
sinful and utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. (Romans 3:10-20)
that the salvation of man is wholly a work of God's grace and is not the
work , in whole or in part, of human merit, effort, or religious ceremony. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
that God imputes His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ
alone for salvation and justifies them in His sight. Salvation is received by faith in the
deity, atoning death, and bodily resurrection of Christ. Nothing can be added to the finished work of Christ, and all
who have come to reliance upon the work of Christ for their salvation will never
lose this inheritance. (Romans
5:18; 8:30)
the present life of the believer is to be lived through the indwelling
and filling of the Holy Spirit, and is to be in the world as light and salt for
the fulfillment of Christ's Great Commission.
Each redeemed believer partakes of Christ’s eternal life and is
spiritually crucified, buried, raised, and enthroned with Christ. This becomes an experiential reality to the believer as he or
she chooses to walk in the Spirit and not after the flesh. (Matthew 28:19-20; Romans 6:11-14)
the
Scriptures affirm that the local church is a God-ordained instrument for
worship, discipline, spiritual edification and encouragement; and that
assembling together for these purposes should not be forsaken by Christians. (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:24-25)
